Adoptable Cats
A Harvard Medical School study notes that "The most obvious benefits of pet ownership are love and companionship" - which translates to reduced stress and anxiety (https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/the-health-benefits-and-risks-of-pet-ownership). The very thought of a purring cat napping peacefully on your lap cuts blood pressure!
We would love for all our kittens to find indoor (or primarily indoor) placements. And ideally they'd go in pairs for have companions, as this makes them happier and helps prevent behavioral issues later.
These cats were brought to you by the combined efforts of dedicated volunteers from the Palo Alto Humane Society, the Ames Cat Network, and myriad independent cat rescuers.

- Will you give one of these cats a furrever home?
- Will you foster a cat by providing a temporary home?
- Will you help us find an adopter through advertising or adoption fairs?
- Will you help socialize a cat who needs extra attention?

Striking Tabby Kittens
These strikingly beautiful siblings are looking for a home to strut their stuff. Sister Marlo and brother Marley look equally gorgeous, but their personalities match their looks. They are playful and affectionate. While they would probably prefer to play with you and a wand toy or chase a laser light, they’re perfectly happy batting balls and hunting for treats. They were rescued, along with their mom, from a cat colony in Sunnyvale. As a result, even though they’re only 6 months old, they’re still a bit hesitant with new people. But once they warm up to you, they’ll be seeking cuddles and napping beside you on the couch, until they give in and crawl onto your lap for a long winter’s snooze. These beautiful cats have been rescued from a life outdoors - but what they really need now is a home for the holidays.

Success StoriesHurray! Goldfish and Gray Gatsby found a home with the help of Nine Lives in Redwood City. All the black-and-white kittens were adopted - but honestly, two were a foster fail; their foster family fell in love with them and kept them. All are romping and wrestling in their new (old) homes. Virtually every cat or kitten abandoned at NASA Ames has found a loving home. We are moved at how loving and trusting of people most of them are despite having been abandoned. All were spayed or neutered and given their shots courtesy of the Palo Alto Human Society, whose support makes the work of the Ames Cat Network possible.
However, we still have adoptable cats and kittens! |
